Ohio Investment in Training Program
The Ohio Department of Development provides financial assistance for customized training involving employees of new and expanding Ohio businesses. To be eligible for a grant the company must have significant training and capital investment related to creating and retaining jobs. Grants of up to 50% reimbursement to fund instructional costs, material and training-related activities are available. James A Rhodes State College
Rhodes State College serves the educational needs of our surrounding area by providing over 100 associate degree and certificate programs in business, allied health, nursing public service, and engineering and industrial technologies.

Students who cannot fit traditionally scheduled courses into their active lives, may take classes through the Center for Distance Education, which offers classes online, through video, interactive and self-paced.

Solutions, etc... is the College's link to business and industry. The division provides a variety of customize non-credit and credit workshops, professional development seminars and courses in business, computer, engineering and health technologies and public service areas. Solutions, etc... also provides consulting and training services in these areas, as well as the education and quality fields.

UAW / Ford / Rhodes State College Training Center
Completed in 1995, this is a state of the art, training center unique in Ohio. Located on the grounds of Ford Motor Company Lima Engine Plant, the facility is available at no charge to any company in Allen County. The facility features classrooms with full audio/visual capabilities, technical meeting rooms, computer application labs, specific application labs and a 300 seat auditorium.

Apollo Career Center’s Adult Education division of trainers is called CTBI (Customized Training for Business and Industry) Group. SAFY (Specialized Alternatives for Family and Youth" divisional office managers from eight states gathered on the Apollo Campus for training in September 2004.
The local non-profit agency utilized the resources at the 24 station state of the art computer lab located in the Apollo Career Center Customized Training for Business and Industry Corporate Center.
