In his book "What America Does Right" acclaimed author Robert Waterman wrote that "this may be the best managed plant I've ever seen" and that the "Procter and Gamble facility in Lima, Ohio astonished me." The Lima concept has become an example for the rest of P & G. The simple statement is "Get Results, Do What's Right and Work Together." That philosophy was critical to the recent completion of a 1.2 million square foot facility that is the largest fully automated logistics center in the world. The center is fully operating and daily handles hundreds of loads of liquid fabric care products. Plant manager Todd Hoffman at the dedication of the facility said that the logistics center was possible through the cooperation of the company, the local community and State officials.
