P&G Fabric Care celebrated the ribbon-cutting for a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lima on June 25, 2026, marking a significant step in the company’s continued commitment to Ohio. The ceremony was attended by nearly 70 state and local leaders, community partners, and P&G employees.
Investing in the Future of Manufacturing
“By opening our new 250,000 square foot facility here in Lima, we are cementing our commitment to innovation and growth in Ohio,” said Amy Krehbiel, Senior Vice President, Fabric Care. “We are investing in the future of our business, we are investing in the future of U.S. manufacturing, and we are investing in the future of this region and our community.”
The facility will be the first in-house production site of Downy and Gain Scent Beads, in-wash fragrance boosters that dissolve during the wash cycle to infuse fabrics with scent. P&G Fabric Care has operated at the Lima site for over 50 years, providing superior laundry products to consumers across North America. The site produces household brands like Tide, Gain, and Downy.
“Our new Lima facility brings together best-in-class technologies from across our global network,” said Fares Sayegh, Global Senior Vice President of Product Supply. “It raises the bar for manufacturing excellence — helping us move faster, innovate more effectively, and better serve our consumers and customers.”
Growing Jobs and Expanding Global Reach
The new facility will expand the site’s reach, serving consumers globally. Nearly 100 jobs at the site have been created with the investment. This is the first facility at P&G to incorporate Universal Design, enabling the site to be accessed by people regardless of size or ability, and it will achieve LEED certification.

We are proud that P&G continues to choose Allen County for transformational growth that creates jobs, advances manufacturing excellence, and delivers lasting economic impact for our community and future generations,” stated Cynthia Leis, President and CEO of AEDG and the Executive Director of the Port Authority of Allen County.
