It is our vision for 2023 to bring exciting ventures to Lima/Allen County. Many projects will soon be completed throughout the county, with more coming soon.  Additionally, we are seeing a new vibrancy to downtown life. These new restaurants, businesses and entertainment centers will provide the opportunity for people from all over the region to come and enjoy Lima/Allen County.

This mixed-use project that will be another great addition to downtown Lima.

A total of $10 million in loan funding remains available to help minority- and women-owned businesses throughout Ohio grow and expand their operations.

The Women’s Business Enterprise Loan Program and Ohio Micro-Loan Program are priority initiatives of the DeWine-Husted Administration and were included in the 2022-2023 operating budget, which was passed by the Ohio General Assembly in June 2021.

In 2022, more than $9.34 million in loans were dispersed to more than 100 minority- and women-owned businesses through the programs.

More than $4.6 million remains available through the Women’s Business Enterprise Loan Program, and more than $6.5 million through the Ohio Micro-Loan Program.

Collaboration is key! It takes many partnerships to make this all happen. Working together with our broader team we have accomplished so much. With the help of our local partners in the City and the County we are more impactful together because of it.

Allen Economic Development Group showcased nearly $2 billion in investments since 2019, including nearly $750  million in 2022. With this impressive growth in manufacturing, housing, and development we are making Allen County a more enjoyable place to live, work and play.  One of the goals within our mission at AEDG is to assist businesses in Allen County to have positive sustainability and growth.
